What we collect, why we collect it, and how to have it removed.

Concrete Jungle Cruises (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website concretejunglecruises.com and provides private sailing charters departing from Jersey City, New Jersey. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using our website or booking a charter, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

  • Booking information — your name, email address, phone number, chosen date, departure time, departure point, guest count, and any notes you provide when you request or pay for a charter or an invoice.
  • Account information — if you create an account, your name, email address, phone number, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier from that provider (we never receive or store your Google or Facebook password).
  • Payment information — payments are processed by PayPal (including Venmo). We do not collect or store your card or bank details on our servers; we receive only a confirmation of payment and related transaction identifiers.
  • Usage and device information — through cookies and analytics we collect standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring site.

How we use your information

  • To process and confirm your bookings, invoices, and payments.
  • To send you booking confirmations, receipts, reminders, and service-related messages.
  • To create and manage your account, including verifying your email and enabling sign-in.
  • To respond to your questions and provide customer support (including live chat).
  • To operate, secure, and improve our website.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed for them to perform their service:

  • PayPal — payment and Venmo processing.
  • SendGrid (Twilio) — sending transactional email.
  • Google Analytics — website usage measurement.
  • Tawk.to — live chat support.
  • Cloudflare and Amazon Web Services — website hosting and content delivery.
  • Google and Facebook — only if you choose to sign in with them.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure site traffic via Google Analytics. You can accept or decline analytics cookies using the banner on our site, and you can control cookies through your browser settings. Declining analytics cookies will not affect your ability to book a charter.

Data retention

We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to provide our services, meet tax and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. Account information is kept until you ask us to delete it.

Your choices and rights

You may request to review, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. To do so, email us at [email protected] with the subject line “Data Request.” We will respond within a reasonable time. You can also unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in those messages; we will still send transactional messages related to your bookings.

Deleting your data

To have your account and associated personal information deleted — including data obtained through Facebook or Google sign-in — email [email protected] with the subject line “Delete My Data,” or call us at (212) 602-1460. We will confirm your identity and remove your account information, retaining only records we are legally required to keep (such as completed transaction records).

Children’s privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
