Where do the sailboat charters depart from?

All charters depart from Liberty Harbor Marina, 10 Marin Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07302. You can arrive by car (parking available), PATH train to Grove Street then a short rideshare, NYC Waterway ferry from Manhattan, or rideshare directly to the marina.

Are children allowed on the sailboat charter?

Yes, children are welcome aboard. Little adventurers of all ages can join the expedition.

What is the cancellation policy?

If we cancel due to unsafe weather, you receive a full refund or voucher to rebook. Guest cancellations made 3 or more days before departure receive a full refund. Cancellations within 3 days of departure are non-refundable.

What if I get seasick?

Stay in fresh air, keep your eyes on the horizon, and avoid going below deck. Ginger pills, pressure-point wristbands, or doctor-prescribed patches are helpful. Take any over-the-counter seasickness medication at least two hours before departure.

How early should I arrive before the charter?

We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. We'll hold the boat if you're running a little behind, but the charter ends at the originally scheduled time regardless.

02 How do I hack my way to base camp?

Your expedition launches from Liberty Harbor Marina, 10 Marin Blvd, Jersey City, NJ. Here's how to navigate the concrete jungle to get there:

By car: Take the NJ Turnpike to Exit 14C (Jersey City). Follow signs toward Liberty State Park. Paid parking is available at the marina.
By PATH train: Take the PATH to Grove Street station, then a short rideshare or taxi to the marina (~10 min).
By ferry: NYC Waterway ferries serve Liberty Harbor from Midtown and Downtown Manhattan.
By rideshare: Drop-off at Liberty Harbor Marina, 10 Marin Blvd, Jersey City.

However you arrive, we suggest getting there 15 minutes early — the tides wait for no one.

03 What lurks ahead when I first step aboard?

All explorers receive a safety briefing before we venture into the deep. A few jungle rules to be aware of:

Non-marking soles only on deck — please wear non-marking soles on deck, or the captain might get a little stern!
Life jackets are available for everyone aboard — we have a vested interest in your safe return. Per New Jersey law, children age 12 and under are required to wear a life jacket whenever the boat is underway.
No red wine aboard — the teak is gorgeous, and the spirits are vengeful. Trust us on this one.
Dress in layers — it's usually cooler out on the open water than it is on shore.

04 Can junior explorers join the expedition?

Little adventurers are welcome aboard — every great explorer starts somewhere, usually crying and in a diaper.

05 What if my sea legs called in sick?

The horizon is your friend — keep your eyes on it and your head above the cabin. Here are the survival tips our seasoned explorers swear by:

Stay in fresh air and avoid going below deck
Ginger pills, pressure-point wristbands, or doctor-prescribed patches are your allies
Take any over-the-counter seasickness medication at least two hours before departure
Go easy on the jungle juice — alcohol and seasickness are old enemies, and not the fun kind

06 What if the concrete jungle makes me late?

We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before departure — the tides have schedules too. We'll hold the boat if you're running behind, but the expedition ends at the originally scheduled time regardless. Time and tide, as they say, wait for no man. Or woman. Or tardy explorer.

07 What if I need to abort the mission?

The jungle can be unpredictable. Here's our cancellation policy:

Weather cancellation: If we cancel due to unsafe conditions, you'll receive a full refund or a voucher to rebook.
3+ days before departure: Full refund.
Within 3 days of departure: No refunds or rescheduling — the jungle is unforgiving, and so is our calendar.
